Octa · AI Singing Voice Generator

Any song, sung in your own voice.

Most voice tools read text out loud. Octa’s MY VOICE sings. You sing one song over a guided beat while the lyrics scroll, and the app builds a private voice profile that can perform any song you generate: a pop chorus, a rap hook, a slow ballad, as you. This page explains what it does, what it refuses to do, and how to get a clean recording on the first try.

01Can AI sing a song in my own voice?

Yes. An AI singing voice generator produces a sung vocal from lyrics and a melody. Octa already does that for every song with its stock voices. Singing voice cloning goes one step further: it learns the timbre of one specific person, you, and performs generated songs with that voice, on pitch and in time.

Two parts work together. The engine, Octa Initium, writes and arranges the song and produces the performance. OctaTune, the pitch-correction step, keeps the cloned vocal in tune with the arrangement without flattening it into a robot. What each one does, and where it stops, is described in the model card.

The goal is not “a voice”. It is your voice, on a song that did not exist a minute ago.

02How MY VOICE works, in four steps

  1. Record over a guided beat. The app plays a beat and scrolls lyrics; you sing one song, usually two to three minutes, then say one short line so the app can confirm the voice is yours. No studio needed; headphones with a microphone help.
  2. A private profile is built. Your voice model belongs to your account. Nobody else can select it, and you can delete it any time.
  3. Generate a song as usual. Type a sentence or paste lyrics, pick your voice as the singer, press create.
  4. OctaTune keeps it in tune. The clone’s pitch is corrected against the arrangement gently, so it stays musical instead of mechanical.

You can keep several voices and switch between them. Lyrics can be written in many languages; sung results vary by language, so listen to the first take.

Android only, for now. Voice cloning lives in the Android app. The browser studio generates with stock voices and shares the same library.

03Before you record: a short checklist

The recording is only a few minutes long, so everything in it counts. Three things make the biggest difference.

  • A quiet room. A noisy recording gives a rougher clone. Close the window, turn off the fan, leave the TV for later.
  • A steady distance. Hold the phone the same distance from your mouth for the whole take. Moving it in and out changes how your voice is captured.
  • Your normal range. The clone is most convincing near the range you recorded in. Sing the way you would actually sing, not the way you think a singer should.

The full walk-through, with what to listen for in the first result, is in How to clone your singing voice with AI.

04Why the tuning sounds human

Cloned vocals drift. Classic pitch correction snaps every note to a grid, which is why cheap tools sound like a robot. OctaTune works more gently: it nudges notes toward the arrangement, smooths the jumps between notes, and leaves the fragile parts of a take untouched. The result is a vocal that is in tune but still breathes.

The priority is your timbre. A correction that changes how you sound is worse than a note that is slightly off, so the tuning is kept light on purpose.

05Consent, ownership and what is refused

You may clone your own voice. The recording flow is built around that: you sing live, in the app, over our beat. Octa does not accept uploaded recordings of other people, does not imitate named singers, and blocks artist names in prompts. Your voice profile is private to your account and it is deleted when you delete it.

Songs you make with your cloned voice are generated from your own prompts and lyrics and are yours to use under the app’s terms. Covers of protected recordings remain blocked, and the song goes back on your balance, even when sung by you.

06Honest limits

  • A noisy recording gives a rougher clone; a quiet room and a steady phone distance make the biggest difference.
  • Extreme ranges, a whisper-low verse or a screamed chorus, are performed, but the clone is most convincing near the range you recorded in.
  • Voice profiles are periodically refreshed; when the app asks you to re-record, it takes a few minutes and restores full quality.
  • Voice cloning lives in the Android app today; the browser studio generates with stock voices and shares the same library.

07Three things to try first

  • a warm acoustic ballad about coming home, fingerpicked guitar — sung by my voice
  • upbeat pop about a summer that ends too soon, bright synths, my voice on the chorus
  • a slow piano ballad about a city in the rain, piano and strings, my voice

Generate the song first with a stock voice if you want to hear the arrangement before you spend a take on it; you can regenerate with your voice afterwards. Need a line to start from? The prompt generator builds one in a few taps.
