An AI rap generator that actually raps.

Most “rap generators” write text. Octa writes text and performs it: the lyrics, the delivery, the beat underneath and the master on top come from the same brief. The rapped vocal is generated, not stitched from samples, so the cadence follows the words instead of the words being forced onto a fixed loop.

You choose the level of control. Give one sentence and the engine writes and raps everything. Give your own verses and it performs them verbatim over a beat it builds to your description. Either way the output is a finished song, not a stem pack. The mechanics are in AI music, explained.

The engine responds to descriptions, so name the style in words a producer would use:

• Trap — 808 slides, rolling hi-hats, triplet flows, dark or melodic. See what creators made on the trap page.
• Drill — sliding bass, sparse piano or bell motifs, off-beat hats, a colder, clipped delivery.
• Boom bap — dusty drums, chopped samples, head-nod tempo around 90 BPM, straight-ahead bars.
• Melodic rap — sung hooks, autotune-flavoured phrasing, warm pads.
• Phonk and Memphis — cowbells, distorted 808s, lo-fi vocal texture; a live wall of examples is on the phonk page.

Tempo helps: 70–90 BPM reads as boom bap, 130–150 as trap or drill (the engine counts in half-time where the style does).

Letting the AI write is the fast path: a sentence with a subject, a mood and a style gives a full verse-hook-verse structure. Add a concrete image — “rain on the windshield”, “the last train home” — and the verse gets specific instead of generic.

Writing your own gives you total control. Tag sections with [Verse], [Hook] and [Bridge], keep four to eight bars per block, and land the rhyme at the end of the line so the delivery has somewhere to punch. Internal rhymes and multisyllables are performed as written; the engine does not rewrite your lines.

The hook is the part people remember, so give it its own instruction: “sung hook, big and simple”, “chanted hook, gang vocals”, “whispered hook over the drop”. Repetition is a feature — a hook that says one line four times will outlive a verse that says twelve clever things once.

If you want a contrast, ask for it: a rapped verse with a sung hook is the most common shape in modern rap and the engine handles the switch naturally when the brief names it.

Describe the style; do not name an artist. Names are blocked by the content filter and the credit is refunded — “chopped soul sample, laid-back flow” gets you where a name would not.

Tracks generated from your own prompts and lyrics are yours to use under the app’s terms: release them, put them under videos, use them as demos. What the engine will not do: imitate a named rapper, reproduce a protected recording (covers are fingerprint-checked and refunded), or perform lyrics that trip the content filter. When something is blocked, the app tells you which word and gives the credit back.
