How this rap & hip-hop track was made.
“focus” is an AI-generated Rap & Hip-Hop instrumental, 2:58 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the arrangement, instruments, mix and cover art were all generated from that idea, then published by @Jewel Lake to the Octa community in November 2026.
The vocal sits right on top of the beat and the words do the work; notice how the hook comes back word for word so it sticks after one listen.
The prompt behind it
“alternative R&B, contemporary neo-soul influence, 2020s bedroom production, lush jazz-inflected chord voicings, airy warm pads, soft Rhodes electric piano, round sub bass, boom-bap drums, punchy snare, head-nodding groove drums, laid-back mid-tempo swing feel, dreamy hazy atmosphere, warm tape saturation, wide reverb, spacious mix, instrumental, no vocals”
