Lyrics

Every word, written by AI.

[Verse 1]
No golden cradle, no bed made of lace,
Just straw in a manger to hold His sweet face.
The bright stars were shining high over the shed,
Where silent and peaceful He rested His head.
[Verse 2]
The lowing of cattle, the cool night so still,
The night breeze was blowing across the soft hill.
No crying was heard from the small wooden bed,
Just peace in the quiet where light had been shed.
[Chorus]
Sleep soft in the starlight, sleep quiet and deep,
While angels above you their sweet watch will keep.
Stay near us forever, through night into day,
And guide all our footsteps along the true way.
[Verse 3]
Be near us, dear savior, whenever we pray,
And keep every spirit in love every day.
Protect every child in the warmth of Your care,
And welcome us home in Your heavenly air.
[Outro]
Sleep soft in the starlight...
Till morning appears...

About this track

How this acoustic & ballad song was made.

“Sleep Soft in the Starlight” is an AI-generated Acoustic & Ballad song with vocals, 2:58 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the lyrics, melody, vocal performance, arrangement and mix were all generated from that idea, then published by @Randy Packard to the Octa community in October 2026.

Everything serves the voice: a fingerpicked or strummed guitar, maybe a piano, room-sized reverb and dynamics that swell into the chorus without adding instruments. The lyrics on this page are the exact words the AI wrote and sang for this track.

The prompt behind it

“acoustic folk hymn, traditional folk carol, traditional Christmas carol, soft acoustic guitar, warm upright piano, tender lullaby, gentle tempo, folk hymn, warm analog recording, subtle room reverb”
