How this rap & hip-hop track was made.
“focus 2” is an AI-generated Rap & Hip-Hop instrumental, 3:29 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the arrangement, instruments, mix and cover art were all generated from that idea, then published by @Jewel Lake to the Octa community in November 2026.
The vocal sits right on top of the beat and the words do the work; notice how the hook comes back word for word so it sticks after one listen.
The prompt behind it
“dark contemporary R&B, late-night instrumental, moody atmospheric groove, understated restrained arrangement, deep sub-bass, lush warm pads, granular textures, soft brushed hi-hats, slow hip-hop-leaning rhythm, subtle sidechain pumping, minimal arrangement, no lead instruments, dusty tape warmth, wide reverb tails, smoky nocturnal mood, brooding and intimate, instrumental, no vocals”
