Porch Light Hymn
Every word, written by AI.
Verse
Left the porch light burning for the boy who came back late
Smoke still on his jacket, shaking like a plate
He said karma's at the door and it knows my name by heart
I said baby, let it knock, I'm the one who holds the start
Chorus
Yeah, karma ain't taking me, I'm staying right here
Loved you past the bad, baby, hold me near
Ice on the keys and the bass in my chest
Look at me, Matteo, you're the one I'm blessed to rest
Verse
You dragged your past behind you like a chain across the floor
But every link you broke was one I didn't ask you for
So here's my hand, come sit with me, the candle's almost gone
We'll light the next one slow and make a brand new dawn
Chorus
Yeah, karma ain't taking me, I'm staying right here
Loved you past the bad, baby, hold me near
Ice on the keys and the bass in my chest
Look at me, Matteo, you're the one I'm blessed to rest
How this trap song was made.
“Porch Light Hymn” is an AI-generated Trap song with vocals, 2:22 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the lyrics, melody, vocal performance, arrangement and mix were all generated from that idea, then published by @heatherhaas to the Octa community in October 2026.
Listen for the 808 sliding between notes under the kick and the hi-hats rolling in triplets; the melody stays sparse so the low end can carry the song. The lyrics on this page are the exact words the AI wrote and sang for this track.
The prompt behind it
“dark trap rap, half-time swung drums, sparse 808 slides, icy piano stabs, female vocals, vinyl crackle, glossy cinematic low end”
