Intro
Verse 1
I'll tell you straight, I begged down by the shore
I never asked for anything like that before
I only wanted you, I didn't want much more
I stayed until the day was gone for sure
Pre-Chorus
I asked the waves to make you stay
They only took my words away
Chorus
I said a prayer
I thought somebody was there
The sea gave care, you never came
I said a prayer
Drop
Verse 2
Years have gone and I'm back beside the sea
The water's just the water, calm with me
I don't need you here to feel okay, I'm free
I'm glad it taught me who I got to be
Pre-Chorus
I asked the waves to make you stay
They only took my words away
Chorus
I said a prayer
I thought somebody was there
The sea gave care, you never came
I said a prayer
Drop
Bridge
The sea was right to let you go
I'm thankful now, and now I know
Chorus
I said a prayer
I thought somebody was there
The sea gave care, you never came
I said a prayer
Outro
I smile and settle in the sand
My answer's in my own two hands
How this edm & electronic song was made.
“Prayer” is an AI-generated EDM & Electronic song with vocals, 4:09 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the lyrics, melody, vocal performance, arrangement and mix were all generated from that idea, then published by @malelusimon to the Octa community in October 2026.
The arrangement is built around a build and a drop: filtered synths and a rising sweep, then the kick and bass land together and the whole room opens. The lyrics on this page are the exact words the AI wrote and sang for this track.
The prompt behind it
“South African deep house, sea waves sounds on South African deep house music, 124 BPM, F major”
