Verse 1
Floating in the mist while the city goes quiet
Heart beating heavy but I'm trying not to riot
Passport stamped up, luggage in the lobby
Making real moves while they treat it like a hobby
Late night talking to the ceiling in the dark
Tryna leave a legacy and make a permanent mark
Smoke in the air mixing with the ocean breeze
Down in Lagos dreaming underneath the palm trees
Chorus
Distant skyline calling out my name
Moving through the shadows while I elevate the game
Smooth with the rhythm, heavy with the wave
Keeping every promise that I ever gave
Distant skyline calling out my name
Never let the pressure turn my soul into a flame
Verse 2
Echo in the hall when I'm stepping on the stage
Turning every struggle to another golden page
Soft pads swelling while the 808 glides
Sitting by the window watching rising tides
Brothers by my side and we never switch lanes
Chasing after sunshine through the summer rains
Cold water dripping on a warm summer floor
Know that every blessing only opens up a door
Chorus
Distant skyline calling out my name
Moving through the shadows while I elevate the game
Smooth with the rhythm, heavy with the wave
Keeping every promise that I ever gave
Distant skyline calling out my name
Never let the pressure turn my soul into a flame
Outro
Lost in the atmosphere
Never felt so clear
Lost in the atmosphere
We alive right here
How this rap & hip-hop song was made.
“Distant Skyline” is an AI-generated Rap & Hip-Hop song with vocals, 2:44 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the lyrics, melody, vocal performance, arrangement and mix were all generated from that idea, then published by @metakosmischeswesen1 to the Octa community in August 2026.
The vocal sits right on top of the beat and the words do the work; notice how the hook comes back word for word so it sticks after one listen. The lyrics on this page are the exact words the AI wrote and sang for this track.
The prompt behind it
“ambient afrobeats rap, atmospheric lush pads, log drum, subtle 808, autotune melodies, afro percussion groove”
