Jane

“Jane” is an AI-generated Jazz song with vocals, 2:10 long. It was created in Octa from one short text description: the lyrics, melody, vocal performance, arrangement and mix were all generated from that idea, then published by @ScottTravis to the Octa community in August 2026.

The chords move through extended voicings, the drums use brushes or a light ride pattern, and the instruments answer each other like a conversation. The lyrics on this page are the exact words the AI wrote and sang for this track.

The prompt behind it

“I want an island infusion. Start with slow ska, after the first verse weird the music by adding dub. Keep the ska guitar but turn the horns bluesy/jazzy. At the chorus change up the bass to straight funk. Keep the dub. At the end transition the guitars and horns mariachi with maracas and fade with waves and seagulls”
